NEW Webisode - Residential Investigation

Every so often, we run across a residential haunting that proves itself to be quite interesting.

The team had been approached by the homeowners to try and give them answers to activity happening in their home. The owners experienced shadow movement, the kitchen faucet turning on by itself, plates coming out of the cupboard, closet door handles shaking, doors opening by themselves, disembodied voices, and items being tossed out from the closet onto the floor(this had happened immediately after the second investigation while the team was in the home).

After conducting an initial investigation of the property, the team immediately started experiencing activity in their daily lives:

Any phone call between team members or to the client discussing the case was disconnected during the conversation.

The homes of the team members experienced other weird occurrences as well. Lights and toys had turned on by themselves without logical explanation or previous issue.

It was decided to bring in world renown medium Nini Grace to assist with validating some of the experiences that the family and team were having, and provide insight to who/what was residing in the home with the family.

With the owners permission, we present to you some of our documented video experiences that occurred during these investigations.

We have had a blast this past year researching the paranormal and helping out many home owners with finding answers to their questions. We met a lot of new friends in the community and visited some great public locations as well.

What can you expect from the team in the upcoming year? Well... We have quite a few things going on behind the scenes at this time. What are they? We can share that with you as time goes on, but for now, here is a list of upcoming events and stuff:

1) SPR Investigation Event - We are currently putting together an intimate event in the NJ area. We have had a good amount of people ask us when our next event is over the past months. The wait will soon be over. Stay tuned...

2) Phenomenology 104 PARAPALOOZA - http://www.phenomevents.com - March 22nd - 25th, 2012
This one is going to be for the books. We are scheduled up for a lecture, vendor table AND we are taking an all ages group to a hotspot in Gettysburg, PA. Rumor has it tickets are going fast for this event. Space is limited, so if you are planning to attend one of the best paranormal events in 2012, sign up now.

3) New Webisodes - The holidays have a way of bringing family together, but also taking us away from our research. We have a new episode coming out very soon after the holidays.

4) T-shirts - Sales have been booming! If you want a t-shirt or hoodie, might want to get one now. We are running out of the first run stock very soon.

5) "Let us hear you SCREAM!" Contest - We have received a few AWESOME entries so far. UFO/ET Congress Lecture - Saturday, November 12th

Chris will be speaking at the UFO/ET Congress this year with a host of other speakers at the RAMADA INN in Bordentown, NJ. The congress is a weekend long event that starts on Friday, ends on Sunday night.

He will be lecturing at this event from 11am - 12:30pm. Sharing some of the best in spirit EVP's, video, equipment use, and much more. With appearances from other SPR team members as well(TBD). There will be a Q&A session near the end of his lecture.

Haunted Burlington County Prison - Oct. 15th and 22nd

Do you like haunted attractions? I know we sure do. Burlington County Prison Museum is holding it's 7th annual Haunted Prison attraction throughout October. You'll be hard pressed to find a better 'haunt' this season.

We will be setting up our table at Burlington County Prison Museum in Mount Holly, NJ on Saturday, Oct. 15th and 22nd to do a "meet and greet" with the public. The Scream Team will be presenting EVP and video evidence that we have collected from our investigations at the prison between the hours of 6pm - 10pm.

Fort Mifflin Expo/Lecture/Investigation - Saturday, October 8th, 2011

Fort Mifflin. "The fort that saved America." One of the coolest locations to attend an event, investigate the paranormal and learn about a huge piece of America's history. We have investigated this location about 6 times over the years and it never disappoints.

This prized location is in need of our help. We say "our" help because if you read this blog, you are more than likely interested in the paranormal. Let's face facts, the economy still really sucks. So haunted locations are in need of our support more than ever before.

By attending this event on October 8th, you will be helping keep the fort alive. Admission to the expo is dirt cheap and should not be missed. There will be a great list of speakers that day as well, sharing some of their most priced techniques and experiences with the public. Shanley Hotel Evidence Review - Sept. 10th, 2011

First off, if we were to sum up the Shanley Hotel in one word, it would be the word "awesome". Not only did we have personal experiences during our walk-through, but the entire night had some pretty questionable and crazy moments. Disembodied footsteps and voices was witnessed by many during the investigation.

During the walk-through, our guide Gina (Team Shanley) told us that the Shanley Hotel sits on top of the "perfect storm" of paranormal locations. Limestone, quartz, and running water underneath the location make a perfect conduit for paranormal activity. Out timing for this event was 1 day before a full harvest moon as well. Which most know can enhance paranormal activity on many levels due to the magnetic pull on the earth.

Another noteworthy point to make is during the walk-through, Gina was getting major goose bump activity on her arm and Chris (Scream Paranormal) felt as though his right arm was grabbed in the Rose Room. What made the arm grab unique, was that Chris reported his arm to appear feeling wet after the personal experience. Gina immediately chimed in to report that Rosie (A child spirit at the Shanley) had drowned in the well outside. Could this have been Rosie reaching out for attention?

Evidence Review

During the walk-through, the team took a series of shots that appeared to vary in exposure. Considering this was done on an iPhone without exposure control, shows some interesting anomalies. Almost like mist appears in front of the camera from time to time. This happened continuously throughout our walk-through.

Here is another interesting photo pulled off one of our IR cams. Though we are not 100% convinced this is a spirit face in this photo, it is interesting enough to share. You decide.

Here is an interesting one picked up by one of our team members. Sounds like a squeak or whistle coming from the adjacent room.

This one stands out as an interesting EVP as well. Sound like "There's something..." or "There's someone..." which was picked up by the investigator during the session.

This response was caught up in Jonathan's room at the Shanley. After isolating the audio, we could hear a response of "yes" or "yeah" when asked the question in the video below. Use headphones for best results.

We would like to thank Dave Jones from Para X Radio for helping us setup the Para X Vision broadcast. We had a few glitches, but overall we prevailed. Thanks also to everyone for tuning in for our first LIVE broadcast from a haunted location. In time, we will work towards getting a setup where we can roam the location LIVE for all to see. Shanley Hotel or Bust!

We are only 2 days away from our event at the Shanley Hotel in Napanoch, NY. It seems we have a great group assembled for this investigation. I would be incredibly surprised if we didn't come away from the Shanley with some great evidence according to multiple reports from various sources.

There have been so many paranormal teams that investigated the Shanley over the years. Some have been witness to full body apparitions, playful spirits and so much more. The collective evidence from these teams is what has fueled us to setup this event.

Jennifer's paranormal history and personal experiences over the past twenty years has fueled her passion and knowledge of the paranormal. Being on the SPR team allows her the unique opportunity to understanding clients on a personal level, even relating to their own paranormal experiences.

Erick has been working in law enforcement in state corrections at Rahway State Prison for 6 years. Erick has a BA in Homeland Security and Counter Terrorism and is continuing his education in Forensic Psychology for a masters. Erick has had many paranormal experiences since he was a child and is determined to seek out the truth.

Each of these investigators have been in the field for years and are destined to shine on this team. Stay tuned for more soon.

Residential Investigation - August 13th, 2011

Here are a few photos taken from a clients house we just investigated this past Saturday. At this location, the owners have claimed to witnessing full body apparitions and have heard voices, footsteps, etc. We had taken over 300 photos during the investigation. Our client has given us permission to share these photos with you.

We did get some high EMF reading from a mattress in the one bedroom. We moved the mattress to another location of the house that had zero EMF and still received a high reading. The owner was given this mattress by a someone. History of the original owner of this mattress is unknown.
This was the only orb we encountered during the 4 hour investigation.
We compared photos and noticed a mist appearing in this doorway. Upon closer inspection, there also seems to be a solid mass that blocks out the top of that bedroom window as well.

This hand print is questionable, but interesting. The client claims she nor any of her children(1 year old and 2 year old) made this mark. The children are too young to get up there and this is not her hand print. They are not the original owner of this mirror.

This is an outstanding opportunity to get in on the ground floor of one of the hottest teams in the paranormal community today.

We have quite a few things on our plate right now, and our busy season hasn't even started yet.

Some of the up & coming things happening:

1) Many people have emailed us about when we were going to do another webisode of one of our investigations. We are currently putting together a few ideas at the moment and should have a new full length video episode by end of August. Thanks for being incredibly patient. 2) We will be on Para Quest Radio Network with Dan Guthrie on Sunday, August 14th at 10pm. You don't want to miss this one.

3) We will also be on Para X Radio with Dave Jones and John Zaffis on Sunday, August 21st at 8pm. We will talking paranormal and be giving away 2 tickets to the Shanley Hotel event on Saturday, Sept. 10th, 2011. Don't miss out on a chance for the last tickets!

4) On Saturday, October 8th, 2011, Scream Paranormal Research will be conducting a lecture at the famously haunted Fort Mifflin. Please join us as we go over techniques and equipment used in the field of paranormal investigating. We will also have a table to 'meet and greet' and be investigating the Fort later that night as well.

5) October is approaching FAST. We are currently setting up a few 'meet and greets' at some of the scariest haunted attractions this 2011 season. One of the creepiest places we are scheduled to appear is at Jason's Woods on Saturday, Oct. 1st, 2011. We are also scheduling up Burlington County Prison for Oct. 15th and 22nd at the infamous Haunted Prison in Mount Holly, NJ.

Fort Mifflin - July 9th

UPDATE: We did catch a nice light orb that night. The movement and translucent nature of this orb makes me think this could be a spirit. There was no breeze in that room that night. I am unaware of additonal evidence caught that night to support this finding. We did not catch any other video like this that night.

Bolton Mansion Paranormal Expo

Bolton Mansion. Awesome location in Levittown, PA. This past weekend, the Bolton Mansion had a paranormal expo that was great fun. If you couldn't make it out, maybe you can next year. I am sure this event location is going to get bigger and bigger every year.

We met so many great new friends this past weekend. It was sad to see the weekend end. Nothing is more fun than talk paranormal all day with other teams and attendees.

We were amazed by alot of the stories we had heard at the event. Quite a few attendees had interesting stories to share with us. We even had a few home owners mention they would like to see us come in and investigate. As always, we will be following up with each and every one of them.

An interesting situation occurred while we were there as well. A young attendee had said she sensed the suicide hanging that took place there and became rather upset. Cathy and Chris immediately went to the location to check it out. Upon arriving, Cathy and Chris had heard what sounded to be a disembodied voice of some kind. Without a recorder running though, it was hard to validate. However, they were able to snap a few photos that had what appeared to be light anomalies of some sort. A few people had stated that the light streaks appear to look like rope.

Shanley Hotel Investigation Event with Para X Radio/Para X Vision

We are pleased to announce our next investigation event coming up this September. We will be teaming up with Para X Radio hosts Dave Jones and John Zaffis to investigate the Shanley Hotel in Napanoch, NY on Saturday, September 10th, 2011. This hotel is well known throughout the community as being extremely active with spirit activity. We are only bringing 20 others with us on this investigation, so space will be extremely limited for this rare event.

Wow... Where do we start with that question?...

First off, we are looking forward to attending the Bolton Mansion Paranormal Expo on June 11th and 12th with the likes of John Zaffis(Para X Radio/Haunted Collector the NEW series on SyFy), Amy Bruni(Ghost Hunters), and Dustin Pari(Ghost Hunters International) to only name a few. We will have a table setup and share evidence we have collected from the mansion at this event. There will be food, games, lectures and much more.

Eastern State Penitentiary Event Evidence Review

Well, we had an amazing time at our Eastern State Penitentiary event on April 8th. It was a nasty, rainy night, and the temperature was around 45 degrees, but everyone's spirit was positive and determined. This event was sold out with more than 40 people in total attendance. We were highly impressed by all of the attendees/investigators and their attention to detail that night. Our hats go off to you.

As always, ESP did not disappoint. We encountered shadow people, caught great EVP's and even an ecto worm made itself known. We have had a lot going on with the team lately(We will hopefully reveal the details soon.) and have finally collected our evidence to share with everyone.

The team setup up groups in 3 major locations. Death row, cell block 12, and cell block 4. With our resident medium(Richard Braconi Jr.) on board, we were able to get some amazing responses throughout the night.

Ecto Worm

Most of those that have been out to investigate the paranormal in the past know that ecto worms and apparitions are hard to catch on video. It takes patients and determination to get that kind of evidence. Most of the leading TV shows airing today find it difficult to obtain this kind of footage as well.

The SPR team was able to capture one of the best ecto worms I have ever seen on video. Here it is for all to see:

Death Row was extremely active the night of our investigation. Pay attention to behind the gate. Having the right team members makes all the difference:

Scream Paranormal Research and 30 others(many coming from out of state) will be investigating Eastern State Penitentiary from 8pm - 1am. In the past, we have encountered disembodied voices, shadow people, and many amazing EVP's from this location. Rated by TIME magazine as the second most haunted in their Top 10 List.

Burlington County Prison Investigation - Jan. 28th

Starting to get ramped up for another run through Burlington County Prison. Always an adventure going through there. We never know what to expect.

If you signed up to go with us, please make sure you are on time. 6:30pm sounds about right. We will split up into 2 groups and go over safety details. This Burlington County Prison event is SOLD out. We will be arranging another public investigation event for Burlington County Prison in the near future.

Start of a new year and things are progressing nicely so far. This is a very exciting time for SPR.

1) Para X Radio Show with Dave Jones and John Zaffis - Jan 9th, 2011 @ 8pm- http://www.para-x.com - Looking forward to this on Sunday night. This radio show duo run a tight ship and have amazing experience in the paranormal. Can't wait to sit in with them and share paranormal stories.

UPDATE: We had an amazing time hanging out with Dave Jones and John Zaffis on Para X Radio. Those guys rule! We look forward to our next encounter with them in the future. If you have not caught their show in the past and love the paranormal, you owe it to yourself to check out them out.

2) Bolton Mansion - Feb. 2011 - This place is going to rock. It's haunted reputation has got my interest peaked to the max. I have a great feeling about this one.

3) Eastern State Penitentiary - On April 8th, 2011, we will be entering the Eastern State Penitentiary with a limited group of attendees to investigate. $70 a ticket. This place is amazing in it's own right. Some of the evidence we have collected is indisputable. Going to be an investigation for the books! With very special guest medium Richard Barconi. Burlington County Prison Evidence Review - Dec. 10th, 2010

We had one of our first public investigations on Dec. 10th, 2010. How did it go? Well.. let's just say the evidence speaks for itself.

The Disembodied Voice

It is great to hear a disembodied voice, sure. I have heard 6 in my lifetime. But what is really special is when someone that has never heard one before hears it for the first time with you. That is what happened in the warden's house on the 3rd floor of BCP.

The attendee and a SPR investigator were taking EMF readings in a side room. While this was going on, the investigator left their audio recorder in the connecting room. The rest of the team in the group was on the 1st floor and was no where near the area.

What you will hear is an annoyed type sigh. It is louder than the investigators are on the recording. This "sigh" sound comes from right next to the H2 ZOOM audio recorder in the empty room.

Investigator: "It's creeping up a little bit..." (reference to the EMF readings)

???: Loud Heavy Sigh

Investigator: "Did you just hear that?"

Attendee: "Yes"

Investigator: "Who the frickin' hell was that?"

Photo Evidence

This was a great night for photo evidence. We don't usually publish orbs. Why? Because they can usually be written off as dust, bugs, etc. These next series of photos have actual stories behind them.

At the bottom of the staircase to the right, you can see an orb. What makes this orb so special? Nobody was anywhere near the staircase this picture was taken and other photos of the staircase do not show orbs of any kind. The best part about this photo is that before the photo was taken, the investigator heard a noise coming from the staircase and ran over and took a quick snapshot.

The next series of photos show an orb moving towards the investigator taking the photos. The team encountered quite a bit of activity during that time.

In the back courtyard area, an investigator snapped this great shot of a reflective orb.

Keep in mind, most of the orb activity was during sessions when an investigator would ask for spirits to allow them to take a photo.

This next photo is of a face located in the window on the 3rd floor of the Prison. The team was no where near that floor during the time of this photo. It is a pretty extraordinary photo. We produced a photo from an attendee from the same investigation for comparison. You be the judge.

We had collected a ton of evidence from BCP this past trip(Still going through some of it due to the holidays). The current findings listed here are just a few of the most amazing pieces of evidence we have collected to date. We may be adding some more evidence from this investigation to the blog page as we continue our review process.

We love Burlington County Prison for many reasons. The spirits are more than willing to communicate with the SPR team and our attendees. We look forward to our return investigation with another team of attendees on Jan 28th, 2011.

Mount Holly Library Evidence Review

Let me start by saying this investigation was a great example of what happens when you think nothing is going on during an investigation... but actually does.

During our time at Mount Holly Library, all was quiet. Too quiet. It seemed like the spirits there did not want to converse with us, interact, etc. It almost seemed, pardon the pun... dead. We ended up conducting the investigation to the best of our ability and left the location with many doubts about it's past activity.

Sure. There were reports that a young girl fell through a banister and died in the house years back. Some people have claimed to see the little girl during story time in the children's room of the library. She would peer her head in the doorway to listen to the story from time to time(Yes.. yes. Our investigator named Sue read the story of Sleeping Beauty during the investigation while we kept close eye on that doorway). The little girl was named Cornelia.

But was Cornelia's spirit there? Were any other spirits still hanging around?

One experience I had during the story reading was kind of odd. During the story, I got up to visit the side rooms. As I was walking into the adjacent room, I was taking MEL meter readings of the room and window. When I moved towards the back window, it seemed like a cat had jumped off the chair that was next to me. It startled me at first. Made a loud thump on the floor right next to me. Was that the spirit of Cornelia? Or maybe even a spirit of a cat? It was pretty loud. Of course, as soon as I heard this I called for another team member to come in and help me take readings of the room. But at that time, all was quiet.

So, did we get any evidence? Sure did. Even though the EVP's are low, with isolation headphones, we could make out the following:

EVP

First EVP was captured by our investigators Cathy and Sue. We had split up into 2 teams to cover multiple floors at the same time. We kept aware of our distances between each group and it went rather well. This EVP is rather low. Here it is:

Investigator: "Are you next to me?"

???: "Yes... I am standing near you." - 7 second mark

Second EVP was recorded on the second floor in the second group. Almost sounds like "Touch it" to me:

Investigator: "Just have to walk by that little green light, right in front of Chris and we'll know you're here."

???: "Touch it" - 7 second mark

Third one is pretty awesome in my opinion. Again this is Cathy and Sue conducting the EVP session:

Investigator: "They say if the rods cross, there apart of a presence. Can you straighten the rods out?"

???: "I'm trying" - 6 second mark

Some of them are low in the recording. But if you crank the volume and use isolation headphones, you can make them out fairly easy.

This first series of photos was taken by our investigator, Sue. She encountered weird light anomalies throughout the night at various locations. Click on any of the photos to make them larger.

The first image is of a standard orb. The thing that makes this orb interesting is that it is in the exact location from which Cornelia fell to her death many years previously. The broken banister is still in disrepair and only roped off.

We did not see any bugs or find much dust in the location. The team did a thorough job during the investigation. Great job as always.

So, never doubt your evidence in the field until you verify. You could end up with some great findings.

People have recently emailed us questions, "When is your next investigation?", "Do you guys do residential investigations?" or "Can I go with you guys on an investigation?"

Here are the answers to those questions and a bit more...

"When is your next investigation?" - We currently have an investigation scheduled on Nov. 27th for an extremely old library, an investigation Dec. 10th at Burlington County Prison, residential investigations we are scheduling, a lecture in the works, and many other things on our plate at the moment. We also have been in negotiations with many different locations, publications, television/radio shows, etc. After the holidays, expect to see some pretty cool events and such with the SPR team.

"Do you guys do residential investigations?" - Absolutely. We are currently working on setting up a few residential investigations in the next few weeks or so. Keep in mind though, all residential investigations are kept strictly confidential.

"Can I go with you guys on an investigation?" - Sure. We have setup public investigations that people can sign up for every other month or so. We have a few big events lined up for Spring 2011 that I know many of you would love to experience. These amazing events will be local to the tri-state area and require a nominal fee paid to the investigation location. Stay tuned for more as we get things confirmed...

Burlington County Prison Museum - Evidence Review

Our team loves Burlington County Prison Museum. Why? Because it can turn a hard-core skeptic into a believer in under 4 hours of being there. The place never disappoints us. Going with the right group of people helps in many ways.

This brings me to a thought I had on getting good evidence... The people you are investigating with will reflect on the kind of reactions you get in a haunted location. The more positive the team of investigators are, the better reactions you get from spirits. So, always be positive when you go out. That is my opinion and it works for us.

Our guide for the night(Bill) shared some information with us as well. He said that someone had seen a confederate soldier walk through a doorway the week before. Man... what I would have paid to see that happen. Needless to say, Bill let us have the run of the place.

First off, let me say that this video blows my mind on many levels. We had just ended the investigation that night and turned the lights back on. While I was packing up equipment in the basement area, I heard a "Noooooooooo" or "Mooooooooooooveee" of some sort. This happens at the 5-6 second mark of the video. Loud enough to carry down the hall to the video camera.

Now, what makes this so special? Well, I heard the voice directly behind and to the right side of me. There was NOBODY standing behind me at all. The team was standing in front of me by the recording video camera. This has been the second time this has happened to me while investigating. The last time I heard a disembodied voice like that was at Eastern State with a "Jim Healy" talking in my ear(that time, it was the left side though)

To me, this is real-deal stuff. I heard it. I know what I heard. I know where it was. It is a personal experience backed up with a video audio recording. I love it when this happens.

On this video, you can clearly hear a whistle. It is almost like a "You who!" or "Over here!" kind of call. The best part about this is that the team was all going up the same staircase when it happened. One of the other investigators pointed this audio out on an EVP she had gotten as well. Good job Cathy!

First and second EVP's are amazing to me. Our investigator Cathy caught the first one while on the first floor of the museum by the warden's desk. Sounds like a spirit saying "Terry", then it sounds like a response, "Her face looks soft". Nobody on our team is named "Terry" or similar.

Second EVP happens at the 2 second mark. Sounds like a spirit saying, "Terry" again. This happened at the end of the night when we stated we were packing up for the night.
If you saw the video above, you will remember the disembodied voice saying, "Noooo" or "Moooove" which happened a few minutes after this second EVP took place.
